La Tierra Sagrada is the three-piece treatment line created by Los Angeles hairstylist Stefani Padilla — aka the Hair Shaman.
According to Padilla, whose largely L.A.-based clientele includes a mix of designers, musicians, models, and photographers, the collection is founded on a trio of products she’s been carrying on photo shoots for years: “When I’m on set, I always have a salt spray for texture, JOJOBA OIL, as a serum, and coconut oil to tame and add moisture.” Eventually, she says, she began infusing them with medicinal plants for a simultaneous healing effect.
Her Jojoba hair oil also combines rosemary and lavender oils to stimulate hair growth, while the Salt Spray (a favorite among industry insiders) uses a blend of sacred water and sea salt to give run-of-the-mill waves a dose of added dimension. A deep conditioning treatment masque is spiked with coconut, babassu, and meadowfoam oils and should be left on the hair for at least an hour. Padilla suggests applying it before or yoga class or meditation session. “Just deeply breathing in the scent of the products is very healing.”
