Efficient Irrigation

Our jojoba plantations are irrigated either by desalinated water or by brackish water suitable for the jojoba shrubs. This enables us to save pure drinking water. Jojoba is a desert plant that needs very little irrigation.

Zero Waste

Pruned branches are crushed and left under the shrubs to be used as a natural fertilizer and mulch. The seeds are used for oil production and the leftover seed after pressing (”press cake”) is used for cosmetic applications or as animal feed.

Minimum Use of Fertilizers

The jojoba shrubs find all the nutrients they need in the soil of the Negev Desert, in the south of Israel. This area provides the perfect conditions for the plantations to grow with minimal intervention.

Seed Harvest Innovations

Jojoba Valley innovated net harvesting for seeds, cutting dust and improving work conditions. The method also reduces field debris, saving transport fuel and boosts seed quality.

Minimize Carbon Emission

To cut carbon footprint, we optimize logistics by bringing products closer to markets, shipping full containers globally, and offering from strategic warehouses.

High Investment in R&D

Jojoba Valley focuses on innovation, investing in research and development to cultivate new Jojoba breeds resilient to climate change and requiring less water.

No Use of Pesticides

Jojoba is a resilient plant with no natural pests and therefore no pesticides are used on the plants.

Using Solar Power

Our new jojoba extraction plant is an Energy Positive Factory, meaning it creates more energy from solar power than it uses.

Reuse of Packaging

Our new jojoba extraction plant is an Energy Positive Factory, meaning it create more energy from solar power than it will use.

As we continue to innovate and evolve, Jojoba Valley remains committed to sustainability. Through ongoing research, investment, and a dedication to environmentally conscious practices, we strive to not only meet the needs of today but also ensure a thriving planet for future generations.
